Outer Banks Season-Long Fishing Tournament

Net proceeds from this year’s Kayak Fishing Tournament benefit the NC Coastal Federation.

The Season-Long OBX Fishing Tournament runs from June 1st to September 1st, 2025, and is open to anglers of all skill levels. Participants must register through Kitty Hawk Kites and follow strict safety guidelines, including wearing a life preserver at all times. The tournament features a catch, photo, release format with fish species such as Speckle Trout, Red Drum, and Flounder eligible for scoring. Prizes are awarded based on the combined length of the top three fish, and a special “Sea Monster” division recognizes unique catches. Anglers are required to use approved measuring devices and must follow all tournament rules to ensure fairness and sportsmanship.
