Wing Foiling

Wing foiling combines elements of windsurfing, kitesurfing, and foil boarding. Riders use a handheld inflatable wing to capture the wind’s power, propelling themselves across the water’s surface. The key component is the hydrofoil — a fin-like apparatus beneath the board that lifts it out of the water as speed increases, allowing for a smooth, efficient glide with minimal drag.

Wing foiling provides a unique sense of freedom, offering the ability to perform high-speed maneuvers, jump, and ride waves. It’s an exciting, dynamic sport that can be enjoyed by both beginners and experienced water sports enthusiasts, with a relatively gentle learning curve compared to other sports. Whether you’re cruising across calm waters or catching waves, wing foiling provides endless adventure and excitement.

Starting with a custom-tailored session that assesses your current skills and goals, our expert instructors provide one-on-one coaching, offering detailed feedback and advanced techniques. These extended lessons focus on improving your control, speed, and maneuvers, ensuring you gain confidence and proficiency on the water efficiently.

What are the Different Lesson Options?

  • Private Wing Foiling Lesson ($300 for 2 hours)
Ideal for those looking for personalized instruction. You’ll receive one-on-one coaching to learn wing handling, board balance, and gliding techniques. This lesson is designed for beginners or those with experience in other water sports.
  • Semi-Private Wing Foiling Lesson ($200 per person for 2 hours)
Perfect for small groups (up to 3 people), this lesson allows you to share the experience while receiving guidance from a single instructor. You’ll start with ground school and progress into shallow-water wing SUP practice, with assistance in winging downwind.
  • Wing & Wingfoil Combo Lesson ($350 for 2 hours, $550 for 4 hours)
This combo includes one private wing SUP lesson and one private wing foil lesson. The first lesson covers the basics of wing SUP, while the second focuses on foiling. Previous foiling experience is required for this option.

What Will I Learn in a Wing Foiling Lesson?

In our lessons, you’ll start with an on-land tutorial to learn the fundamentals of handling your wing and balancing on the board. Afterward, you’ll practice in shallow water, focusing on controlling the wing and gliding smoothly. As you gain confidence, you’ll transition to deeper water to refine your skills, improve your maneuvers, and ride the wind more effectively.

What Should I Bring to the Lesson?

  • Swimwear: Comfortable swimsuit or board shorts.
  • Wetsuit: Depending on water conditions, a wetsuit may be required. Wetsuits are available for rent.
  • Sun Protection: Sunscreen, hat, and UV-protective sunglasses.
  • Towel & Change of Clothes: For drying off and changing after your lesson.
  • Water & Snacks: Stay hydrated and energized during the lesson.

Do I Need Previous Experience?

No prior wing foiling experience is necessary for beginner lessons. However, if you have experience in other water sports (such as surfing, kiteboarding, or windsurfing), you may progress more quickly. For those with previous foiling experience, the Wing & Wingfoil Combo Lesson is a great option to refine your skills.
