birdPea Island National Wildlife Refuge/ Sunset Kayak Tour
Glide along the peaceful salt marshes of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore. Pea Island is known as a birders paradise. Over 265 different species of birds make this refuge on the Outer Banks their home. Search for ospreys, herons, egrets, ibis, terns, pelicans, rails, skimmers, wrens, and warbles just to name a few. Your launch site New Inlet has a fascinating ecological and human based history. See first hand as you follow your guide under the old New Inlet Bridge and are guided through several shallow coves and canals. This area is 'classic' Outer Banks paddling!

Kayak Fishing Tour in the Pamlico Sound
Fish the waters of the sound during twilight hours- the best hours for kayak fishing. With the accompaniment and expertise of your guide, become familiar with the waters of the sound and learn some interesting tips for fishing. Catch anything from trout to rockfish while traveling through remote banks and sloughs that can only be accessed by kayak. This tour demonstrates the advantage of the low impact and stealth approach to fishing that kayaking offers.

Hatteras Island Kayak Tour
Hatteras boasts some of the most historic waters on the Atlantic. Learn the legend of Blackbeard the pirate, and find out why this area is known as the graveyard of the Atlantic. The tour goes through the salt marshes off the southern tip of Hatteras Island.

Paddleboard Instruction

We have a new selection of Paddleboards just in at our Waves site. We are excited to offer private lessons on technique and paddle stroke finesse. Come learn the art of this ancient form of transportation. Stand tall on the Pamlico Sound and feel as if you are walking on water. Paddle for fun or for Core Excercise.
