Annual Easter Eggstravaganza - Kitty Hawk Kites, Nags Head (mp 12.5).
Family fun with the Outer Banks Largest Easter Egg hunt. Over 2000 candy
and toy-filled eggs waiting to be collected. Egg Hunt are divided by age
groups. Chalk coloring contests, kite making games and surprise visits
from Wil-Bear and friends. Come welcome spring to the Outer Banks. 11:00

APRILApril 5 - 6 - Kitty Hawk Kites Fly Into Spring - Jockey’s
Ridge State Park & Jockey’s Ridge Crossing (mp 12.5), Nags Head. Come
and start off the kiting season right. April is National Kite Month!!
Kitty Hawk Kites will be visiting local schools and youth groups to educate
on kite flying and the history of aviation. Portions of the events proceeds
will benefit Children & Youth Partnership, a local charity. We will have
informal, free kite flying lessons, including a mass ascension, and lots
of games, demos, and free kite making for the kids. This is a fun fly

MAYMay 3 - 6th Annual Kitty Hawk Kites Surf Kayak Competition
– 1st St. Beach Access, Kill Devil Hills, NC presented by Kitty Hawk Kites.
The water of the sound and the Atlantic await the best sea kayakers on
the coast as they show what they've got! You won't want to miss this one...come
watch these high adrenaline water sports. In addition Kitty Hawk Kites

World’s oldest continuous Hang gliding competition. Hang gliding pros from all over the world come to the Outer Banks to compete and have fun on Jockey’s Ridge State Park. Demonstrations, street dance and awards ceremonies are all features of this spectacular event. Families can enjoy a rock climbing wall, hang gliding simulator, kite making, face painting and a visit by Wil Bear Wright. JULYJuly 12 - 13 - 30th Annual Wright Kite Festival - Wright Brother’s Memorial (mp 8), Kill Devil Hills, presented by Kitty Hawk Kites. This festival is enjoyed by all ages with a spectacular kite show put on by Larger than Life Kites. Come see a 100ft. Octopus, 50ft Scuba diver and many other dance in the air during this jaw dropping event. There will also be stunt kite demos, games, kids kite making, and contests. Kids can make and fly their kites where flight began. Competition - Wright Brothers Memorial (mp 8), Kill Devil Hills, presented
by Kitty Hawk Kites. This competitive fly is on the Eastern League Circuit
for sport kite flying and is also sanctioned by the American Kiting Association.
Throughout the weekend non-competitors can enjoy workshops, demonstrations
and kite making for kids. The highlights of this event include graceful
kite ballet competitions set to music, and fast paced team flying that
