About the Boat
Pomaika'i translates to Good Fortune in the Hawaiian language. Your time aboard her will truly be your Good Fortune. She is a beautiful Tartan Offshore Cruising Ketch that has it all. She's roomy and comfortable and at the same time she shows her true Sparkman and Stephens sailing pedigree. Whether you want to cruise to relax and sunbath or participate in the sailing of her she will treat you to a wonderful adventure.

Morning Sail - 2.5 hours
Have your party ready to come aboard the Pomaika’i because we cast lines at 10:00 am. We may sail down the western shore of the Outer Banks past Kill Devil Hills, Kitty Hawk, and Colington Island. We may watch the hang gliders at Jockey’s Ridge, or we may head west into the open waters of Albemarle Sound. Either way we’ll have lite snacks included along with great music, stories, wildlife and fun. Many times we get to enjoy the company of dolphins, turtles, pelicans and more. With only 6 passengers on board there’s plenty of space to kick back and relax. Whether you come alone, as a couple, or as a group the experience on this sailing adventure is warm, friendly, and personal. If you’ve got special music on an i-Pod or Mp3 player bring it along. We can let you hear it like never before with our 4 speaker 150 watt stereo system on board.. What ever you do don’t forget your camera because the photo opportunities will be there for you every moment along the way. Pomaika'i sails on this excursion daily Mon—Fri from Easter Week through October.

Soft drinks, cheese, crackers, fruits, and cookies are included. You may bring your own beer or wine (no bottled beer, cans only).

Manteo Sunset Cruise - 2.5 hours
Sail the Albemarle sound aboard the 41 foot ketch Pomaika'i. Whether you come alone, as a couple, or as a group, your experience on this sailing adventure is warm, friendly, and personal. During the trip we often see dolphins, turtles, pelicans, and other wildlife. Drinks and light snacks are provided. If you have some of your favorite music on your i-pod or MP3 player, bring it along and we'll play it on our onboard stereo system. Soft drinks, cheese, crackers, fruits, and cookies are included. You may bring your own beer or wine (no bottled beer, cans only).
